A two-mile sweep of red Triassic pebbles between Otter Head and the Otter mouth — the sea end of the river and the start of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site.
Lifeguarded in summer; the Lime Kiln car park and Longboat Café are at the eastern end by the estuary.
